When Bob and I married almost 9 years ago, one of my married co-workers gave us a lovely wedding card.
The sentiment said “Wishing you moments of bliss and hours of contentment.”
Now, many years later I understand the sentiment. But at the time I was disturbed by it.
“She only wishes us moments of bliss?”
Dr. Lee Blakwell, one of my mentors once said “Contentment is underrated.”
In all great religions, we are invited to be content with what it is - and as we do so - the blessings keep coming.
My big goal this year is to allow myself to be content - to enjoy my life as it is and to enjoy the blessings that keep coming day after day, month after month.
The Exclusive Members Program has been a source of great joy and blessing for me this year. And with my new partnership with the amazing practice-building coach Juliet Austin, I anticipate this next year will bring even more joy.
I’d love to hear what you think about the “art of contentment.” Is is something you seek? Is it something you allow yourself to be? If you’d like to share please leave your thoughts, feelings and comments at http://buildyourtherapypractice.com/casey/archives/45/
Until we meet again…
Love and blessings to you,
